DUTCH GLORY | SCOTCH & SODA
Holland has got a lot to offer when it comes to fashion. The Dutchies are known for their innovative, creative, conceptual and casual style. This doesn’t just go for adult fashion, also the kids fashion industry in Holland is a frontrunner and leaves an impression all over the world. Today I’d like to show you one of my favourite Dutch kids fashion brands: Scotch & Soda!
About Scotch & Soda
This Amsterdam fashion brand offers fashion for adults and kids. They’ve got 4 different sub-brands for each of their target groups: Scotch & Soda for the men, Maison Scotch for women, Scotch Shrunk for boys and Scotch R’belle for girls. Staying true to the Dutch style Scotch & Soda is innovative and gets incredibly creative with each and every collection getting their inspiration from all over the world. “Scotch & Soda are discoverers and collectors, scouring the globe for that painting, poem, vintage piece, ruin, or artefact that sparks our never-ending curiosity.” Every design starts at their canal side studio in Amsterdam, but then spreads all over the world. Scotch & Soda has got over 150 stores and is sold in over 8000 other retailers all around the globe.
The current collection
The current collection for boys and girls is stunning as always. If you’re looking for some last minute party outfits, then I’d say definitely head over to the Scotch & Soda website because the party collection is full of silky floral dresses, cool blazers, chique shirts and velvety bow ties for boys. In addition to their regular collections the Amsterdam label always launches a separate collection called Amsterdams Blauw (Blue). The FW17 version of Blauw for kids is one that makes our fashion hearts beat a little faster. The collection takes us to gaucho terrains with all new indigo inventions. The collection statement reads: “The adventure starts in a fancy-goes-tough hotel, with a beautiful edit of dressed up denim and tuxedo-based shapes. After that, the great prairie playground offers new ways to race with layering, patchwork and extreme dust washes in desert-worn indigo.” Because of all this, we are already looking forward to the new SS18 collection which is coming soon so stay tuned!
