QUIRKY ARTWORKS | ANIMALS OBSERVATORY
I love a bit of quirky fashion. Combinations that you don’t see everyday, interesting prints, colours that are just a little bit different or details that give an item just a little quirky twist. Especially in kids fashion I think there’s not a lot out there that you could call ‘not done’. Kids are fun and so should their outfits be am I right? A brand that has perfectly understood my vision of kids fashion is Animals Observatory. It’s fun and different and the prints are just simply awesome!
A bit about Animals Observatory
The Animals Observatory is the result of a love at first sight scenario between two people, Laia Aguilar and Jan Andreu. Laia Aguilar’s worked as a creative director for Bobo Choses, and Jan Andreu has proved his incredible talent for business time and time again over the course of his career. Together they were the perfect match to start The Animal Observatory.
No wonder I fell in love with this brand as soon as I spotted it. I’ve loved Laia’s work at Bobo Choses for a long time now. With every collection she manages to create the perfect combination between fashion and art. The SS18 collection of The Animal Observatory is no exception to this. Every single one of the prints is like a piece of art and could be placed in a frame in a museum, if you ask me. Another thing that stands out about the collection are the gorgeous details, little ruffles on various items, a little pocket, button or a discretely placed stripe along an item. It all contributes to a very quirky, fashionable and cohesive but still varied collection. I’m loving it! How about you? Which items from the SS18 collection from The Animal Observatory would you shop for your little ones?
